Anthony T. Troy was the founding owner and managing member of Troy Building Company LLC. He was a State Certified General Contractor specializing in building unique high quality custom homes and commercial projects at competitive prices. Tony Troy worked in the construction industry for over 30 years. He had extensive hands on experience in commercial and custom residential construction.
In June of 1982, Mr. Troy graduated with honors from Pratt Institute in New York City. He received a Bachelors Degree in Professional Studies in Construction Management. While in New York City, several of Tony's clients were highly respected and well-known architects, artists, photographers, musicians, antique dealers, real estate investors and art gallery owners. Tony honed his keen eye for design and detail in New York City's fast paced world of construction. There he had to master the practical need for building within a realistic budget and completing unique projects on schedule.
In 1992, he moved to Florida and became a State Certified Residential Contractor. Tony then went one step further and became a State Certified General Contractor and specialized in custom homes and commercial projects. After his passing, the City of Lake Helen awarded May 4 as Tony Troy Day to recognize the great impact his work had on the charm and uniqueness of the town he lived and worked in.
His daughter, Kayla Troy, is the current managing member and she works to carry on the legacy as a Certified Building Contractor. Kayla also has a experience in design, entrepreneurship, and real estate. She works closely with her clients to carefully craft a project that satisfies the need for functionality with affordability while being aesthetically pleasing.
Using choice experienced subcontractors and highly skilled tradesmen is the key to Troy Building Company's success. Kayla has recently completed outdoor living spaces, new custom homes, total home renovations for individuals and investors, as well as commercial renovations. She is currently designing and managing custom residential new construction and renovation projects in Central Florida.
Troy Building Company has been building custom projects in Volusia County since 1992. The office is located in a historic building in Lake Helen at 312 S. Lakeview Drive.
Anthony J. Troy is Anthony's son, and the second managing member of Troy Building LLC. Anthony has experience in construction management, carpentry, plumbing, and has a passion for forestry and agriculture. Anthony's biggest accomplishment with Troy Building Company to date is managing an 8000 SF custom home being built in under 12 months. Growing up in a construction family, Anthony shares his father's work ethic and tenacity to make sure things are built up to the standards of quality craftsmanship.
Together, Anthony and Kayla work to keep Troy Building Company's name synonymous with unique, beautiful, and high quality construction.
